PRESENTATION

Where the Sidewalk Ends, John Maternoski’s 2014 Master of Architecture Terminal Thesis project at the University of Oregon, has been selected for display this fall at the White Stag Block, the University of Oregon’s Portland home.  The project explores the role that design plays in obesity and diet-related disease, and attempts to address the problem through comprehensive urban design and the rethinking of grocery store design for a site in Mobile, Alabama.  John’s project joins a handful of others’ selected from three 2014 terminal studios exploring the themes of “(Re)Generative Design,” “The Urban Waterfront,” and “Art+City.”

Check back later this summer for updates and information, including specific dates of the UO Portland exhibition.
